Tami Coffey, President (Dallas Office)
Tami attended Indiana State University, majoring in Psychology. She entered the recruiting industry in 1984, initially as a Generalist for a national recruiting agency. She was awarded “Rookie of the Year” her first year in the business for outstanding production. During her tenure, she was promoted to management and began focusing efforts on developing client relationships within the Financial Services industry. In 1987, Tami joined a Dallas based retained search firm specializing in the Mortgage Banking industry. She was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President, specializing in Mergers, Acquisitions and “team hires” in addition to Production Management recruitment. During her nine years with this firm, she produced 68% of the revenue generated company wide and became the leader in Business Developed as well as repeat business. She contributed to several on site client Training Seminars in "
Effective Recruiting Strategies" and special projects.
Tami was subsequently approached by one of her largest clients, a Fortune 500 mortgage banking firm, to join their team as National Recruiting Officer throughout the acquisition and development of the company’s Home Equity division.
In 1998, Tami formed Mortgage Search & Acquisition (MSA) and has continued to serve the national mortgage banking and financial services community. She has retained many clients that use her services exclusively for their expansion and recruitment needs, as well as continuing to focus on developing new relationships with lenders seeking an experienced recruiting partner.

Chris Meyer, Managing Director (Phoenix Office)
Chris has an executive recruiting background stemming 30 years, beginning in 1980 with the John Hancock Company in Anchorage Alaska. He relocated to Phoenix in 1982 to start his own business, resulting in two decades of executive recruiting within the distribution technology industry.
After earning a BFA degree from Arizona State University in 1985, Chris subsequently taught e-commerce and Personal Development seminars for business leaders at ASU. He joined Arizona based Competent Search in 2002, where he developed a Mortgage Banking specialty, delivering highly personalized, results driven recruiting services to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage nationwide. After successfully opening multiple states, Meyer began focusing on the Southern California market, transitioning in excess of $800 million annually in branch acquisitions and top performers within the retail and builder sectors.
Chris joined MSA in 2009 and will continue to provide quality, results driven service to clients and candidates with an emphasis on Western based opportunities.

Jeffrey Smith, Consultant (Phoenix Office)
Jeffrey has over 20 years in the mortgage banking industry, beginning his career as a Loan Officer in the early 80's. He went on to build the #1 division at CTX Mortgage where he was Regional Vice President from 1989 - 1995, growing production to over $1billion annually in three years.
In 1999, Jeffrey joined Wallick and Volk, a privately held mortgage banking firm, as Senior Vice President / National Production Manager. He held this title for 4 years, expanding the company into six additional western states and growing production from $60 million to over $350 million annually. He later went on to head the Western U.S. Divison for Metrocities Mortgage (now Prospect Mortgage) where he was responsible for signing over 35 firms to ABA's, including the 2 largest real estate firms in the state of Arizona. Jeffrey opened his own mortgage banking firm in 2005 (JSSmith Mortgage) in Scottsdale, which was later sold to a commercial bank before joining MSA in October of 2009.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Jeffrey later attended the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Japanese studies and language.
